Thought for the week:

'The thousands of criminals I have seen in 40 years of law enforcement have had one thing in common: Every single one was a liar.'

Great new facebook group

I am not the only with suspicions.

Check out this facebook group. They have lots of information for anyone considering this show.

Interesting facts that have turned up

1. Stephen Hawking is not involved with the show despite their claims.
2. Red Vision is not a co-producer but simply a company approached to do CGI effects.
3. Starwalker posted fraudulent PR statements under a PR companies name who didn't approve or write it.

Who are the people behind Starwalker?

Some Googling has been done and it has turned up some interesting items. Namely, who are the people behind Starwalker?

Jameson Sansom-jones - (Currently insolvent with an 8 year order against him)
Tony Jarmey - (the owner of the company providing the expensive SMS entries)
Richard Myles - (is a secruity guard)
Mischa Perez - (is also a security guard)
Greg Smith - (is suing a website for $42.5 million)
Jonathan Nolan - (Disbarred lawyer with three counts involving defalcation)

Interesting indeed.

All threads and comments about Space Cadets removed from Starwalker comments

The Starwalker discussion board had a few topics reguarding the comparison of the hoax show and Starwalker. But all of these have now been deleted and the users banned from the group.

Got something to hide???

Jonathan Nolan was disbarred

Starwalker Executive Producer/Showrunner Jonathan Nolan was disbarred as an attorney in Australia seven years ago on three counts of misappropriation of money from a trust fund he controlled.

In the decision, delivered on Aug. 9, 2002, the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory removed Nolan from the Roll of Legal Practitioners “on the ground that he is no longer a fit and proper person to practise as a legal practioner.” The decision came after “he pleaded guilty before the Disciplinary Tribunal to three counts involving defalcation from his trust account.”

Wikipedia describes the term as:

A defalcation is an amount of funds misappropriated by a person trusted with its charge; also, the act of misappropriation, or an instance thereof….The term is used in legal proceedings other than bankruptcy to refer more generally to embezzlement.

Nolan did not attend his disbarment hearing, but he sent a letter in which he did not oppose the action. The disbarment request was made by the Law Society of the Northern Territory.

The text of the ruling.

Fortunate Sons

This is the video trailer for Jonathan Nolan and Greg Smith's biggest production to date. (Well the only one we can find).

They've gone from this, to a $100 million budget? Call me skeptical.

Things you should ask yourself before entering.

1. Where is the money coming from?
2. Why are Jonathan and Greg so protective of their previous work? They have forbidden people from discussing it on their discussion board and have actively censored members.
3. Where are their previous works? Can you find them?
4. Greg Smith is currently suing a small, non-profit community web-site for $42.5 million. Why exactly is he doing that?
5. Is this money from the lawsuit ment to fund the show?
6. Jonathan Nolan is an ex-lawyer. A quick google search will explain why.
7. How do two unknowns suddenly have $100 million dollars backing?
8. With so much money backing the show, why use free email addresses and free website hosting? Where is the official site? Where are their real contact details?
9. Can they be believed when they say the show is not a hoax?
10. Why did Sunrise remove Jonathan Nolan's video from their webpage so quickly?
